Mystery Ohio Bird II

What kind of bird is this? My guess is some kind of sparrow, but am looking to identify the exact species or sub-species, if that’s the correct terminology. These videos were taken approximately 8 am in North Eastern Ohio, in a country setting (mostly corn and hay fields), the bird went to three trees while I watched it, perching at the very top of each one if that helps at all. It also went directly to the ground once for several seconds but I couldn’t see what it did there. This bird was here last summer, gone for the winter, and just arrived back in early March. I’ve tried but can’t match this call with any on whatbird.com or other bird identification sites – this call drives me crazy! Dying to know what kind of bird this is and what it wants when it makes this call (it seems to sound much more grating and caustic in real life than in the videos.) There are other birds chirping in the background so I noted after each time you hear the call I need identified. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Bird Egg Identification HELP! (very urgent)?

I live in Tallahassee, FL and have a special birding class tomorrow and reports are due. I’m bringing in a nest and that has been abandoned for more than two months. Found egg in hole. White with small sploches of light brown on it. A little small then 2 cm tall and 1 and 1/2 cm wide.
Please answer in next 5 min. Thanks!
