EMERGENCY! help please?

Ok, my dog catches baby doves all da tim&I can never get to ehr fast enuf to get them out before dey die. So this time I grabbed her&da bird was still alive,&I got her to drop it&I put it in a box with some towels. I live in TX, I know where TWRC is, but my parents won’t drive out there. They say I got the bird, it’s my responsibility. So when I picked up da bird to put in da box, I gave a tiny look over, but I didnt want to hrut it, so I just looked it over quickly. It a baby mourning dove, the ones that are grown with their feathers, but still have da baldish faces and some baby down left. So it was flappign its wings&everything, and it doesn’t look 2 bad,&da box is small, so it was tryign to jump out of it. It doesn’t look that hurt, so I put it in my front yard under some bushes. I’m watchign for cats at teh moment, so it doesn’t get itself into another peril. It has it’s mouth open, like it’s panting,&it can walk&flap it’s wings, but i think one is broken. So what can I do?
Can I give it some water? Or bird seed? I woudl ahve to go buy some, so is there somethign else I can give it? My parents won’t take me anywhere, they don’t want anythign to do with it.
My brotehr went outside and said that he had made it all the way out into teh street. He was flappign both winsg really hard and tryign to fly, and he got up about an inch off the ground. My brotehr chased him back into the yard so he wouldn’t get hit by a car, so im not as worried now. I still need help though. It’s startign to get dark.
Ok, and now I looked out the window, and I ahd to go out there and save him because he was in the yard and this otehr dove was attackign him! he was all scrunched up on the ground and teh otehr dove was on top of him and peckign him between the shoulders. he lost some feathers and I went out there and the baby tried to fly away, and then the otehr dove acme back and swooped at him, while i was standign rigth there! it was acting very agressive, so i ahve these rocks piled agaisnt teh fence and i got the baby to go in there and i covered up the intrance with a towel, so he can breathe and still get out, but i don’t want him to get attacked again!
ok, well, i was trying to save room. Why does it matter what breed my dog is?! She’s a german shepherd/lab, if it’s so important! please, anything to help the bird! I’m scared for it!
Im going to try the eyedropper, but how can i get it to take it? its mouth isnt open anymore, do i open it myself? will it hrut if it bites me?
ok, well, now i foudn out that he’s bleeding. And he won’t take teh bread with milk in it.

If you have a eyedropper maybe give it a little bit of water. Its probably in shock and thirsty. If you can call animal control, they’ll come get it.

first of all bring it back in and keep it in a fenced area or a larger box give it some more water and keep it in ur room 4 about a week and see how its doing from there

sounds like he still needs a few more days befor hes ready to fly i would find a larger box and put him in it in a quite and protected area feed him bread soaked in milk for now but if you go to the store pickup some bird feed and if the wing is broken you may have a lifelong pet if it doesnt heal right so start saving for a birdcage lol goodluck

call animal rescue..doves are very hard to raise . did you look around and try to see where your dog got it? did i mention that doves are pretty stupid ..your yard must be in the area that another dove has its nest that is why it is attacking..so this dove is from somewhere else..look on the internet for a wild animal rescue site..my daughter saved 3 baby possums that way.never try to give a baby bird water..they get most of their moisture in their food..only adults will drink.

Honestly, with the bird bleeding, having been bitten and scared, it will probably still die unless you find a rescue or a vet that can take it tonight.

Dog and cat saliva will slowly kill a bird due to the bacteria in it.

Also, MILK WILL KILL A BIRD They cannot digest it. Do not feed it. Get it to a rescue.

When they PANT like that theyre either thirsty hot or hungry….usually it means they are hot and need to cool off. get a clean eyedropper try looking for some worms and mushing them and putting them into the eye dropper to feed it. or get some bread and mush it with a litttle water until its like a pastey liquid and put that in the dropper to feed it. get deeds when he isnt a baby dont put water down until hes an adult he may drown and call a wildlife place and ask them to take it. dont try to teach it to fly and dont release it. GO TO THE PETSTORE AND ASK A PERSON WHO WORKS THERE ABOUT FEEDING BABY BIRDS! THEY HAVE SPECIAL DROPPERS AND FOOD TO FEED THEM! SEEDS WONT WORK UNTIL ITS AN ADULT! DONT FEED IT SEEDS OR IT WILL CHOKE!
