You could gently try giving your bird a few drops of water with an eyedropper. Maybe this will encourage him to try on his own.
Good luck.
What you mean is answer and not Question
Maybe he’s doing this ’cause he likes to you to be near him a lot?
Just a suggestion.
Was he in with other birds? Do you have toys in his cage? Where do you have him located? If he was in with other birds and not used to being on his own this could cause him to not eat or drink. If he was in the cage at the pet shop with anouther bird, these 2 birds could have bonded. If you dont have toys in his cage, he could be really depressed and board if he is not being stimulated. Keep him in a quiet location away from all the hustle and bustle of your home, keep any other pets away from him, keep your children away from him. Cover his cage with a blanket. This should help him feel more secure. Use an eye dropper and place ONE drop at a time in his beak.
Bring him to a vet. He is becomming dehydrated.
my bird same thing what we did was we moved the food and that was the problem he couldn’t reach it so try moving it to a better spot that is in good reach
