I think the sparow population around my house has at least doubled in the past few years! they ate 20lb of bird seed in less than 3 days!! and it’s all mostly sparrows! at one point i counted at least 50 sparrows on or underneath the bird feeder eating the seed! we used to have so many different species of birds, but now all i mostly see r just sparrows! i mean i like the little guys, but i mean this is just ridiculus!!

i’m not quite sure how to get rid of them, i don’t want to trap or kill any of them, i just want them to find another food source, like maybe is there a type of seed or bird food that doesn’t attract them?? any advice would be great!

It’s a mid size bird, smaller then a dove, but not as small as a finch.

there is a picture, don’t think it’s a finch…I looked those up. It’s not that small, trust me…I got pretty close before it flew away and I took this pictuer.
