pigeon help answer quickly! experts on pigeons please?

well 2 days ago i found a pigeon and it couldn’t fly so i tried to “scare” it home like i would scare it with my flip-flop it worked out then my freind’s grandpa came and showed me that it won’t bite and he picked it up he told me to try im all like ok lets try it so i did and it was unusually calm it squirmed but not as much as i thought it would…
i’ve been feeding it hamster food (taking out the sunflowers and wafer thingy i dont know what its called) and mixing in uncooked rice like its hard not cooked i will give it some wild bird food when i get a chance to go to the store…and anyways i dont know what to do now…ummm it seems that it cant fly but today it flew to the fence and was sittting on top of the fence i should be happy instead i was HORRIFIED what if it hopped to my neighbors backyard then what but instead of doing something dumb i snook up from behind and grabbed its tail thing or whatever it didn’t struggle instead it willingly let me grab it that happened three times…im not sure why its not a very good flier though it can fly NOW but when i got it it couldn’t but now it can but not that good…<<<<<

Ok. I have pet pigeons. And you sound SO inexperienced. For you you sound like a little 10 year old girl on yahoo. Ok. Now i recommend calling the humane society. Hun im sorry but the pigeon could get treatment and get better. They will pay for everything and either release it in the wild or some one will adopt it! =D Sorry but he needs medical treat meant not some home potionish medicine.
Well, it probably is a little…..slow. Look on its legs and if it has a colored band or a silver band on it then it belongs to someone and the band has a phone number on it. That could be why it is so mellow around you, alot of pigeons get hand fed.
If you think it might be sick, then look in your phone book and see if there is a wild bird store or habitat. They will be able to help you.
I’m pretty sure its illegal to take care of pigeons that are undomesticated. Call a Wild Rehab Center and they will take care of the pigeon. You shouldn’t have taken the pigeon in. They are full of germs.
be careful with uncooked rice. It swells in the crop and can kill them. In the wild these birds eat that rice tho.so? They also need “grit” to help grind the food up in the crop (the sack that holds the food before it is digested) Maybe the bird just likes being there, with you?
Does it look like its a fledgling??? Does it have all of its feathers? IF so, the mother was watching it.
