What the difference between a Cockatiel and a Small Hookbill?

Cause I found an injured bird in my parking lot and I don’t know if it’s Hookbill or a Cockatiel. Cockatiels and a Small Hookbills look alike according to Petco.com.
He is White, Yellow and another color, I think green. He bites.

I found a cockatiel egg in my brother’s bird’s cage. What should I do?

I looked at my brothers birds and one of the two girls laid an egg. We have a male pearled gray and two female latinos. The boy sometimes chases the girls away and guards it. One of the girls sits on it often. Is it safe to transport it into another place? The boy bites anyone near the cage, and even our cat backs away. Can I do anything to down his temper?

Will a Cockatiel survive outside in Florida weather like a wild bird?

My Cockatiel is a house cockatiel and always ate tiny seeds. Anyhow when its cage was placed outside yesterday it managed to open the door and fly out. Will my Cockatiel survive if someone doesn’t find it?

emergency Question for male cockatiel?

i bought new male cockatiel from 6 days ago ,he didn’t eat or drink first 5 days by him self i was offer him food by hand and seed with little plate even water he wont drink it by him self ,and his drop was fine when i brought him home it has allot food and water with his poop for two day until i find out his drop is begin to get shrinking and get dry not like before ,today he begin to eat by him self i was very happy but i notice after that his drop get more dry more and more so i offer him water again , i know he is weaned bird because he is not doing weared sound or begging for food he just sitting at his perch and watching us all the time he is six month old and he was very healthy bird at the pet shop until i brought him and he stop eating should i offer him more seed and water until i see him doing ok eating and drinking by him self what should i do help.

Can a 6 year old cockatiel that hasn’t been around other tiels, adjust to life with other tiels?

Is it possible she might bond with them and maybe even find a mate? She calls out to my backyard birds sometimes and seems interested in watching them.

My mom called me down today while I was sleeping because apparrently my birds were going at it. What should I do? Is she pregnant for sure? I am willing to do the work, but i don’t know where to start? Let me know ANYTHING you know. (how long before she lays, if she has anything, her nutrition, male behavior..)

Cockatiel Emergency?

Okay, my female Normal Grey cockatiels is acting hurt. My brother hurt her, and not she either has a broken or sprained foot! She only balances on one foot, and she lets the foot hover over the ground. And there are two or three little blood spots on her foot. We put flour on it to stop any more bleeding.

What can I do!?

The Avian Vet isn’t opened all week, and there aren’t any more Avian Vets in my state at all! What can I do???? This bird is really special to me!
The cut is where the leg bends, if that matters.

Emergency food for a stray cockatiel?

We had a stray cockatiel come to our home last night and cannot get bird seed until tomorrow. Have tried to feed some peas, carrot, raisin, cooked rice bit does not seem interested.

Can they go a few days without food? It has had some water but that appears to be all.

how can i teach this bird to talk?

My step dad found a bird the other day while he was cutting a lawn (he owns a landscaping business). The bird was unable to fly (step dad said its wings had been clipped and it was possibly somebodys bird – and maybe they let it loose).

Well, I have no information about this bird! He/she has rosey red circles on its cheeks – i think its a cockatiel. I dont know if its a boy or a girl.

Its very friendly. It sits on our fingers and walks right up to sit on our sholders, doesnt try to bite.

How can we teach it to talk? I heard that if you put a song repeate for the bird during the day while nobody is home (to keep it company) that it will eventually learn that song. Is that true?
