The brightening yellow of male goldfinches each spring is one welcome mark of approaching warm months. American Goldfinches breed later than most North American birds. I chose to combine my hobby with my schoolwork to create this, my A-level media studies documentary on birdwatching. It is only meant to be a 5 minute extract. Yes the Nightingale at the start should’ve been over the titles and not over my presenting, but that’s what you get for leaving it to the last minute. Thanks to Gi Grieco for his starring role.

Which bird lays it’s egg in another species nest which drives out the original chicks?

I saw a documentary about a species of bird that would lay it’s egg in the nest of a smaller bird. The invading chick would push out all other original chicks and the parents would work tirelessly to feed the invader. I thought it was the Boobie Bird but that one only kicks out younger boobies. Thanks.
